About the gallery

Gallery of Women is a partnership between the LeicestHERday Trust and the talents of Maz Mashru.

The gallery is available in several formats including a real Gallery of Photographs and Motivational Quotations and a virtual Gallery in CD format. It is evolutionary. We are constantly adding women of inspiration and aspiration to the project. It is accompanied by the musical background of Helen Reddy singing “I Am Woman” courtesy of Universal Music Publishing and Helen Reddy.

Maz Mashru

Maz is one of the county’s highest qualified photographers, he is renowned for his images of famous dignitaries such as Betty Boothroyd, Cherie Blair, Keith Vaz, Juliet Foster and Sir Trevor McDonald.

Maz comments “I am delighted to be involved in such an important project in Leicester. I have met some of the most inspirational women over the last few months and I am proud that I have been able to photograph them at their best!”
