nextstep LeicesterShire were delighted to exhibit at LeicestHERday 2006 for the third consecutive year.  Sam Palmer, nextstep adviser, said:  'The event was as busy as ever, and we talked to large numbers of people - this is a great chance to raise awareness about our service, and offer support to anyone who needs advice on jobs, training and courses'.

"Ten young people worked really hard on designing and creating the Connexions area at the event - a street, complete with signs and graffiti, with information about education, work, training and volunteering.  The group had a great day and the most valuable part was that they were able to talk to other young people and their parents and carers about their experiences of volunteering, both generally and with Connexions.  One young person commented 'I just loved all of it!!  The best part was meeting Patricia Hewitt'."
